Durga Mandir is also called Durga Kund Mandir and Durga Temple is one among the foremost famous temples in Varanasi. This temple has great religious importance in Hinduism and is devoted to the Goddess (Maa) Durga. Durga Mandir was constructed within the 18th century by Rani Bhabani of Natore. It is also referred to as Monkey temple due to the presence of monkeys. This temple is found on Sankat Mochan Road, Durga Kund, Varanasi.

The Sankat Mochan Mandir and Banaras Hindu University are located in nearby the Durga Temple. A pond referred to as the Durga Kund is situated on the proper side of the temple which increases the sweetness of the temple. and pond which was earlier connected to the river Ganges. Most of popular festivals are celebrated within the temple of Durga, especially Navaratri. During these festivals (Navaratri), some people keep fasting (do not eat food only on fruit and juice) within the sort of respect and dedication to God's worship. Even our Prime Minister Narendra Modi kep fasting in Navaratri and dont eat anythings. In Navaratri time, the temple is decorated with flowers and lights. The spiritual atmosphere of the temple provides peace to the guts and mind of the devotees. Many devotees comes for darshan in Navaratri and temples croweded whole day.

3. Maa Durga Temple Entry Fee :There is no any entry fee, and also don't listen to any panda , guide (they roaming around gate to earn something from out sider) enter the temple. If you wish can buy flowers for the deity from the shops near by temple but it is not compulsory.
