Sankat Mochan Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is situated on the Assi river. Temple was constructed by the educationist and insurgent Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya (the founder of the BHU) in the early 1900s. The Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh organize every year in the month of April. In this celebration, great musicians and performers from all across India come and participate.
