Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor inauguration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday 13 Dec 2021, inaugurated the Kashi Vishwanath dham (corridor) that connects the maa ganga river to temple , terming it a “symbol of Sanatan culture of India” and placing it at the centre of the sacred geography of the country.

“The long period of slavery broke our self-confidence in such a way that we lost faith in our own creation. Today, from this 1,000-year-old Kashi, I call upon every countryman — create with full confidence, innovate, do it in an innovative way,” Mr. Modi said.














PM Modi said, today’s India had both “virasat” (heritage) and “vikas” (progress).

Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Varanasi

 Kashi Vishwanath corridor to be inaugurated by PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi will initiate the more than 50-feet Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which will associate the antiquated Kashi Vishwanath Temple committed to Lord Shiva and two ghats on the Ganga in his parliamentary electorate of Varanasi, on Monday.

"The sanctuary will be introduced on December 13 at a propitious time," Nagendra Pandey, a minister at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, told news office ANI.

PM Narendra Modi will on Monday visit Varanasi to initiate Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor, developed at an expense of around ₹339 crore. Tulsi Manas Temple Varanasi


This is one of the famous temples in the holy city of Varanasi. It is located in Durgakund and close to the Durga temple and is dedicated to Lord Rama. It is situated where Tulsidas, the great poet lived and composed the epic” Shri Ramcharitmanas” at this place. Tulsidas had described the life history of Lord Rama in this Epic and got incredible popularity soon. Tulsi Manas Mandir Constructed with white marble in 1964, the temple not only looks beautiful and is also has a well-maintained garden. Sankat Mochan Temple Varanasi
























Sankat Mochan Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is situated on the Assi river. It one of the holy temples of Lord Hanuman in Varanasi.It is located in southern Varanasi and it is nearby Durga temple and the new Kashi Vishwanath temple BHU. The meaning of the temple is relief from all problems. It is believed that those that take darshan of Sankat mochan, unka sankat chala jata hai.Sankat Mochan 

Temple was constructed by the educationist and insurgent Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya (the founder of the BHU) in the early 1900s. The Hanuman Jayanti (birthday of the Lord Hanuman) is widely known per annum by organizing a special Shobha Yatra (a parade) from the Durga temple (Durga Kund) to the Sankat Mochan Temple. Sankat Mochan temple is one of the sacred temples of Hindu got Hanuman.

New Kashi Vishwanath Temple Varanasi


Shri Vishwanath Mandir also referred to as Vishwanath Mandir and also know as New Kashi Vishwanath Temple, is one among the foremost popular temples and largest attractions for tourists in Varanasi.

It is also referred to as the Birla temple because it had been built by Birla Family. The temple was planned by Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya (Founder of BHU). The temple is opened for all religions. The temple is found on the Benaras Hindu University campus and is devoted to Lord Shiva.
Kashi Vishwanath Mandir was destroyed repeatedly in 1194 by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, between 1447-1458 by Hussain Shah Sharqi, then in 1669 CE by Aurangzeb. Then In 1930, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya had planned to duplicate Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir within the Benaras Hindu University and therefore the Birla family take responsibility to develop this temple and completed it in 1966. It took 35 years to complete the work.

New Kashi Vishwanath Temple is found around 1.5 KM inside the campus of Benaras Hindu University (from the most gate). It is around 3 KM from Durga Maa Temple, 7 KM from old Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and around 11 KM from Varanasi Cantt Station.

Bharat Mata Temple Varanasi



























This temple is dedicated to the Bharat Mata. It was constructed by the Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt and it had been inaugurated by Gandhi in 1936. The statue of Mother India is made up of marble which represents the entire India ( mountain, plains, and oceans of India).
